It can't be removed. However, since you are aware of it, whenever you apply for a loan, you can add a statement explaining your side of the story along with your credit application. The information is TRUE, so it won't be removed. You can probably get the lien removed by the State of Indiana if you document your deployment (a copy of your orders will do) and pay the $40. If they cooperate, they will take care of your credit report. For those who have INACCURATE information on their report to dispute, visit each bureau's website to find instructions for disputing an item on your report.
