I keep seeing offers for free credit reports. But you always have to signup for a month of service that will continue in perpetuity unless you go to them and tell them to cancel. Is there a way you can get just ONE free copy of your credit report and have no commitment for anything else?

However, when I was starting to check some items in my first report, the library system crashed and I was unable to see my reports once it was fixed. If I try the annual credit report website today, am I going to be able to see at least the two reports I missed?

They were discussing this on the radio this morning. A woman saw a copy of her credit report sitting by her boyfriends computer. He had done one of those free credit reports online. I’m not sure on the details, like how long they were dating or if they were planning on buying something anytime soon. But, what do you think? Would you be pissed? The caller was not sure how she should handle it. I’m not sure what I would do either.
