You are allowed to get one credit report a year from the three agencies by going to:

I don’t know about that site but all 3 credit reporting agencies have to give one free one per year. Go to annualcreditreport,com.

My mom always told me nothing in this world is free. But credit reports are. Do not go to freecredit.com.
My husband tells me the best things in life are free. I don’t think a credit report is one of the best things in life.

Not that I am aware of.
You can go to annualcreditreport.com and get a free credit report once a year. I have used this site myself. You have to go through A LOT of information to verify your identity, and you only get the report of what is on your credit.
You would have to pay to get your actual credit score.

There was a recent class action settlement against one of the credit reporting agencies, maybe it was Transunion, because the agency mishandled information or did something wrong. The settlement was to allow people to get a free credit report so they can check for suspicious activity. i think this is in addition to the one free report you can get per year from each of the three agencies through annualcreditreport.com. I read about the class action thing in Money Magazine, they may have some info on their website about it.
