Is it possible to get a copy of an old credit report?

We are curious to see what has changed in my fiance’s credit report since the last time he pulled it (about 3 years ago). He had a copy of the report he had pulled, but it was in a box with other files which were damaged when his mom’s basement flooded. Therefore, he no longer has that copy, but there are a few things we would like to cross reference between the old report and the one he just pulled. So is it possible to get another copy of that old report?

I work for a credit repair agency so I can tell you there is no way to get a copy of an old report. The 3 credit bureaus are bombarded with 500 billion bits of info daily and there are 52 million reports on file it’s just not feasible for them to keep old reports.

That will not do much good. He needs to see if there are fraudulent issues is all. Otherwise the report is what it is as of today. If there is fraud he can contest but the rest is there no matter what. Houses, cars, personal loans, credit cards all affect credit scores.

No there is no way to get a copy of a previous credit report. So, for future reference it would be good to get your credit report annually, and then you can compare it later, this way you will know what has changed, what has been added on, any deletions, and any fraudulent activities that might be on your account. So once you get your new credit report you’ll have to just go over it as usual with a fine tooth comb, and just analyze it. That’s all you can do. Good luck
