Contact who ever the loan is through and ask them to report the info and explain your situation. Most lenders will not have an issue with this. If this is a newer loan keep in mind it can take up to 3 months before it shows up on your report as well. Good luck.

If the loan is paid in less than 6 months it often will not even make it to the bureaus unless you were late. Also not all loans will make it to the bureaus regardless of length of the loan…it depends on the company making the loan. If they do not have a relationship with any of the bureaus they will NEVER post your data to a bureau…unless you’re late. Positive information is generally MUCH harder to get onto a bureau report than is negative. Only the larger companies pay (yes, it costs!) to post positive information about loan payback.

Some times creditors will either not report or only report to one or two credit bureaus.

Like a previous poster said, if it is a relatively new loan, it may take awhile for it to show (it could take up to 3 months)

If it is not showing on your reports and has been longer than 3 months, I would suggest contacting the creditor and request that they start reporting on all of your reports.

If it’s a new loan, it may take a couple of months to show up. Just wait.

BTW - pay off the loan as soon as possible and get some cash in a savings account for anything you’d consider taking a loan on. If you can pay the loan after you borrow, you can pay your savings account before you borrow.

First, please understand there are 3 credit bureaus:

1. Experian
2. Transunion
3. Equifax

You may not have seen your loan because it only appears on one of the credit bureaus not included on your credit report. I advise you get a 3-bureau credit report. It will probably show up. Ok?
