If you have been paying and are currently paying for rent, utilities, cable, phone, rent, day care, child support, remittances, or any other recurring montly payments, PRBC can help. The 3 major bureaus normally don't report these types of monthly payments, but PRBC can report payments from 3 years back and current payments and score them in a report that can be considered with your traditional credit reports. There's too much information about this website for me to put it in this answer, so I'll just post the link and let you see for yourself. As for the car loans, I would check with the lenders that you got the loans from to make sure that they reported your payment history with all 3 bureaus as well.

If you're looking for an easy way to start off credit, get a secured card. You might want to check where you do your banking to see if they're available. You have to put a deposit upfront, but after a year of perfect payment history, you should get the deposit back with possible interest. While the card is secured, make small purchases that you can pay off in full, on time, every month. Also, if you have extra cash to temporarily tie up, try adding to the security deposit to increase your credit line. The higher your credit line is, the better it looks once it becomes unsecured. You may start to receive offers for other credit cards as well, but I would repeat the process one more time for another card. When it's all said and done, you should have 2 unsecured cards, a nice savings nest egg, and a good start to you rebuilding your credit!

Good luck!

It depends on how you do it really. Some ways are by startin a newer credit card and paying it off right away as soon as the bill comes in. The same thing goes with other credit cards. Keeping them on time raises it up probably about 5 or more points depending on how u do it.
