Is there any websites out there where you can check your credit absolutely free?
Terri F asked:
I do not want free trials either, as they are hard to remember to cancel. I also do not want to have to submit my credit card information. Seems like if it is our credit, we should have free access to check it at any time.

Yes, there is a free website, in fact I just used it yesterday.
You are allowed to get a free credit report once a year.
The website is “www.annualcreditreport.com”

Here is the only true free credit report web site authorized by the FTC
You will not receive your FICO scores, just your credit report from all three agencies.
REMINDER: this is only good to one time a year, so if you haven’t gotten your credit reports in the past 12 months, they go here for them

if you’ve gotten turned down for credit, you can get a copy of a report online free. log onto the site of the credit bureau that the company used to to get your info and turn you down. they have to mail you a letter telling you what credit bureau’s info they used in their decision.
if you didnt get turned down for credit, you can still get reports free. write to the bureaus, they will each give you one free report per year.
you can google equifax, experian, and trans union to get the websites or addresses.
