Best place to get your real FICO score is MyFico.com. You have to pay.

All those sites that give ‘free’ scores require you to sign up for their monitoring service. Many won’t even be giving you real, up-to-date FICO. Some use their own calculation system, some use Vantage (scale to 990 vs FICO’s 850).

You can get your report free, but not your score.

The free report is at

freecreditreport.com will give you your credit score for one of the three credit companies right away. You have to provide your credit card account because after 14 days they will charge you and it’s not free anymore, but do what I do, check it and call them right after to cancel. Print it off though!

The only free credit score I got was when I opened a WAMU credit card, and that was one of their offers.
