I just paid off 10,000 dollars worth of debt. How soon should it show up on a credit report?

   It will show as soon as your creditors update their information to the credit bureaus.

   I would wait about 2 months. Some report it quicker than others, but 30 days minimum. If you wait 2 months, then you can assume most would of reported it by them.

   From 30 days, to 2 months, and your score will recover within six months to a year (as in going back up). It’s slow.
