I have a question about getting a free copy of credit report?
Jordin K asked:
I want a free copy of my credit report, so which site should I get it from? If I request my credit report, will it contain all the information from all three nationwide consumer reporting companies including Equifax, Experian, and Transunion? Do I have to request one individually from the three companies or do I just have to order one and everything will be included? How does this work? I’m new at this.

You get one from each credit reporting agency. You have to ask for each one seperately. But just go to annualcreditreport and they will take you thru the steps. It’s a good idea to ask for a different agency every 4 months. That way you can keeps tabs on your credit report throughout the year and get 3 free reports for the year .

I don’t think you can get a free credit report from all 3 sites. There is a fee for all 3 at freecreditreport.com. If you apply for a loan you can get a copy of your credit report free.

You are required by law to get one free credit report from each of the 3 credit companies.
The link below is the one i used.
With this web site you will be able to view and print out ALL 3
for free

The answers with annualcreditreport.com are correct but you need to know what to look for and how to read the reports and last but not least what to do with the wrong items on your report and there will be as 70% of all consumers reports have some wrong information. Go to and to understand how your score works go to and to handle everything else is a great place to learn by people with alot of experiance at no charge. Good Luck
