Catalyst asked:

I have been told by several people that after seven years, a debt is supposed to be removed from my credit report. If I have debt and accounts that were opened in 1997, 1998, and are listed as charged off or closed, how can I get these reports off my credit report?

Edward

Tylar asked:

I was viewing my credit report and my scores are all fairly decent 744 exp, 735 equi, and 748 TU but i have a collection agency entry from ASSET ACCEPTANCE CORP. I did dispute the item and it was returned as valid. I want to pay it but it seems pointless if they don’t remove. And will the collection agency negotiate with me to pay the debt and remove the item? And is that legal? The debt is only $86 and I got it because my ex roommate used my social. But I am not going to pay it and still have it on my report.. Any suggestion?

Is it true that after 7 years your debts get wiped off your credit report?

GlamorousGirl24 asked:

I’ve heard, but not sure if it was correctly, that if you’ve had a debt for 7 years, it automatically gets wiped off of your credit report, and your credit score returns to normal. Please let me know if that’s true or false.

I ordered a copy of my credit report only to find out that they sent it to my old address which now has new tenants. The good news is I had them only display the last 4 digits of my SS number.

How do you report tenant for non payment of rent to credit bureau?

czar_girl asked:

Our tenant abandoned her lease and we would like to make sure it is on her credit report, we know we are not likely ever to see a cent of the money due to the fact that she is under bankruptcy, but we would like to make sure it is on her record.
